This place is absolutely the best. Food there is like eating at home. First time was on 12-13-12, our honeymoon diner. And after about 7 yrs, we go just about every Saturday evening.

The food was overpriced, service was slow and food was average. I can't recommend eating here with so many other places nearby that frankly have better food and service. Skip it.

Met family tonight for a wonderful meal! I ordered the catfish. Big pieces of fish, breaded just right. Our server was entertaining.

Such a cute little hometown restaurant. Everyone is so friendly and the food is great. While waiting on our orders I must have said "ooooh that looks so good" 10 times as other patrons got their orders. This is true down home cooking. It is well worth the 30 minute jaunt from Knoxville to get a bite from here!

Great fresh hot food reasonable prices more food on your plate than you can eat. Always refreshing your drink and everyone is very friendly a family atmosphere.

Me and my family eat at the down home restaurant very often. The food is very good. And the people who work there treat us like family. The prices are very reasonable as well.

I ordered the Chicken and Dumplings with cold slaw and mashed potatoes with a roll. It was delicious! The Sweet Tea was just right. Service was a bit slow but what do you expect during rush hour? I will definitely be coming back but after rush hour. I can't wait to try the breakfasts.

The breakfast menu , I think is the best I've ever had anywhere. PERIOD ... The service is great and the all you can eat catfish , on Friday night is awesome .. I love this restaurant and I believe anyone else would too ...and B.T.W. the prices are great too ...

This was our first time eating at this restaurant and the best I can say is WOW !!! the food was great, the employees were great and the restaurant is very clean. We love and will certainly be back and look forward to trying something else on the menu. We highly recommend eating here

Classic Americana Roadside Diner. Ate there today and enjoyed every bit of it. Had a delicious meal and great service. Got a very good cheeseburger and very good fried potatoes that are like potato wedges, but different and were great. The server was a sweet young lady and made sure tea was always full. For desert, we had a piece of orange creamsicle cake that was delicious and so moist. This is one of those rare places that going for a drive is worth it.

Great feel and wonderful food. I will return with wife and kids for dinner soon. A repeat for certain!!

Best country cooking in East Tennessee

First time visitor to Grainger County Tomato Festival. Got hungry for some real food. We ask a local to recommend a good place to eat.His first answer was Down Home. About a mile down the road.Well it was great. Waitress was very kind and friendly. Food arrived very quickly as the restaurant was packed that was a pleasant surprise.Cost was very reasonable.Would highly recommend.

Great food and staff. Everything they serve is reasonably priced. Only drawback is that the restaurant is closed on Sundays. Highly recommend this restaurant!!!

I ordered side salad, loaded baked potato and Cajun catfish. My friend ordered the fried catfish with coleslaw and loaded baked potato. Everyone super nice. Food hot and fresh. We will return! A+ service!
